  • Every day, every news programme reports the level of the FTSE 100.   Here's a question (actually three):

    What does the FTSE 100 measure?

    What is that a proxy for?

    Of what relevance is that to most people's daily lives?

    Answers welcome.

    Just because we always have, doesn't mean we always should.
