I’d kind of forgotten about blackthorn blossom, until I took the car out for a last run on Monday. It was, as usual, everywhere, alongside early cherry and almond.
It’s a nice reminder of spring, and the fact that whatever we do to our planet, it will get on just fine without us.
A gentle hint that it isn’t the planet that needs saving.
