reading time
This might seem like a strange book recommendation to follow one about increasing productivity.  But there’s no paradox.
Both books are fundamentally about changing our underlying model of the world.
We’ve had a taste of how less can be more over the last year.  We did without the commute and the office politics. We learned to appreciate the ‘little things’ – friends, family, community, toilet paper, health. We saw how quickly nature can recover, given a rest from the relentless search for profit for profit’s sake.
As this book shows less really is more.
What we work at matters. There are some kinds of work we need to give up, but we’ve plenty to do to repair the damage we’ve done to our home over the last few hundred years. And plenty more to enable everything living in it to flourish as they deserve.
A model of business that makes work more productive by making it both more satisfying and more rewarding is just the kind of tool we need to accomplish that.
500%.
